Accuracy –It's important for the information presented in factual programming to be correct or the wrong information will be presented to the audience . This means they have the incorrect knowledge on the topic. It is vital to see that the information are showing the correct information.

Balance – making sure that the factual programme shows both sides of the argument presented is essential because the producer needs to show a balanced view in the documentary to stop it from looking like a certain opinion is being used over people.

Impartiality – being impartial means that the producer has to show different sides. This is similar to having a balance of both views as it makes the documentary fair and not judgemental

Objectivity – Important for producers to show balanced views from both sides to ensure that the documentary isn’t bias and looks at different ideas.

Subjectivity – the producer has to make sure that the information shown in the documentary is unbiased and balanced side so it doesnt just stick to one side.

Opinion – the opinions which the producer shows have to be unbiased and make sure that they don’t stick to one side, it is important that the opinions shown are balanced

Bias – it is important for the producer to make sure that the documentary looks at different views and doesn’t focus on one concept to ensure that it is not being bias and presenting one side.

Representation –producers has to make sure that they present their documentary in a way which doesn’t judge people. For example, they have to stop labelling and judging certain groups in society to stop the documentary from being prejudice.

Access –It's important that the producer is able to gain access to the resources needed to make their documentary, they have to plan this before the factual programme is created to make sure that it is completed to a very high standard

Privacy – the producer has to consider the privacy of the people who are taking part in the factual programme as they might not want to be shown in the documentary and if they are it will violate their rights.

Contract With Viewer – the producer has to stick to what has being written in the contract and if this is not done then it could cause problems related to legal issues and the documentary might not be able to be shown.

Pre Production: Our Documentary

Me and Mizbah have decided to change our documentary idea from 'Sidney Stringer vs Stringer Academy' to a documentary to do with police. After watching episodes from 'Coppers' it really interested us and also being a police officer is Mizbah's dream so doing a documentary about something like that will keep us interested and make us want to know more. We want to do associate school and police together. How the police handle the youths and they're day to day roles. The age group will be based on todays youths 15 - 65.

Coppers-30th Jan 2012

''This episode joins Tayside police's newest recruits as they hit the streets for the first time. Unlike most English forces, police in Scotland are still taking on new recruits.

After training at the Scottish Police College, the next step to becoming a copper is 15 weeks out on the streets under the watchful eye of a more experienced officer. The rookies face the realities of life on the beat and it's a far cry from their sanitised training classrooms''

Documentary about real life coppers and CID and their day to day basis.
This documentary is an insider of all the situations that happens in a cops life.

Coppers start of with the two officers in the car with previous snippet clips of 'coppers' put together as an introduction to give a clue what the ''coppers'' is about and how they have to deal with challenging people.
There is a narrative male voice introducing or describing the scene, also interviews with the PC's how they got in the force or faced any kind of rejection. They also talk about their experiences how they tackled drunk people who causes a chaos and how they deal with them showing the clip of the scene.
At the end of each  episode the police tell us who gets arrested and what the consequences are for each individual that have been under arrest.

''Sidney Stringer vs Stringer Academy''

Basic Notes

Old school and new school

miss tomes

aim- How has the changes she made positvely affected the school????

Hani + Par - Interview them about school  - *troublesome kids*

Nazrin + Mahmud- Been in school since year 7 .. Old school aswell as the new school. Share experiences? Why is it good? How has it changed? Do you like the change? Are u supported enough?

My original idea

My original idea was based on something to do with school and how the children learn and do they get enough support to help them but i wasnt 100% sure what my moral was and where exactly i was going with my idea. I was considering to do it individually, Mizbah was focussing on something about school as well so when she spoke to me we kind of brainstormed our idea's together still sticking to the subject of school and came up with the idea of the change in Sidney Stringer School + Sidney Stringer Academy and how it has changed, and if that change has benefitted everyone?.

We will question the old head teacher  - Mr Worral as well as Mrs.Tomes the current head teacher.  Our main idea is to see the differences how school has changed because most of the students may agree that the school has changed for the worse and still complain today at the fact how things have gone so different.
